“If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.”
― Lewis Carroll
I’m sitting down to begin writing about experiences from some of last year’s road trips and thinking about them conjures up visions from the road. There is something that sticks in the brain about layers of far horizons, scattered sun in the peripheries, and a stretch of road narrowing into the distance. What better way to start than with some images from the road.
“Now, on this road trip, my mind seemed to uncrinkle, to breathe, to present to itself a cure for a disease it had not, until now, known it had.”

“That’s why I love road trips, dude. It’s like doing something without actually doing anything.”
― John Green
“And I felt, in the silence that followed, everything that had happened on the trip to bring me to this place.”
― Morgan Matson
“Every hundred feet the world changes”
― Robert Bolano
“The earth belongs to anyone who stops for a moment, gazes, and goes along their way”
